Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh is all set to make his debut appearance at the famous ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’. Ahead of this highly anticipated appearance at the show, the Punjabi singer shared a behind-the-scenes clip that captured a light-hearted moment with the host, which was playful yet goofy.
Dosanjh took to Instagram to share a clip where he is seen teaching Punjabi phrases to Jimmy Fallon during a fun banter at the backstage of the show. “Sat Sri Akal!” Fallon captioned the video that had the text ‘Learning how to speak Punjabi with Diljit Dosanjh’ written over it. In that video, Diljit is seen teaching his iconic catchphrase “Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye” to Fallon, although the latter’s attempt at uttering that phrase came out to be hilarious.
Dosanjh then made the host say ‘Sat Sri Akal,’ which is a Punjabi greeting. Fallon delivers it smoothly, which impresses the singer and elicits a ‘Wow’ response from him. The ‘Born To Shine’ singer also tried to teach Fallon to say ‘Oye’, which not only left the host in splits, but also made Priyanka Chopra laugh. The actress, who also appeared as a guest on the show in the past, took to the comments to say, “It’s the Oye for me.”
In another cool video, Jimmy Fallon is seen exchanging gloves with Dosanjh. Known for his impeccable fashion sense, Diljit wears black gloves during his live performances. Hence, Fallon got him custom white gloves adorned with the show’s logo, which he exchanged for Dosanjh’s black gloves. “Backstage glove swap with @diljitdosanjh! #DiljitOnFallon #FallonTonight”, the video was captioned.
The musician will make his ‘Tonight Show’ debut today and will be performing his hit songs “Born to Shine” and “G.O.A.T.” This appearance will mark another feather to his flock, as Dosanjh recently became the first-ever Punjabi to perform at the prestigious Coachella music festival. When it comes to acting, he has appeared in several films including Amar Singh Chamkila, Crew, Jodi, Good Newwz, Jatt and Juliet, Jatt and Juliet 2, etc. He is now gearing up for the release of ‘Jatt and Juliet 3’, which will release in theatres on June 27.
