DreamLeague Season 22 is the second major tournament of the 2024 Dota Pro Circuit, featuring 16 of the best teams from around the world competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD and 2,700 DPC points. The tournament is organized by ESL Gaming and sponsored by Intel, Predator, DHL, Monster Energy, 1xBet, U.S. Air Force, and SAP.

The tournament started on February 25, 2024, with the first group stage, where the 16 teams were divided into two groups of eight, and played a single round-robin format with best-of-three matches. The top four teams from each group advanced to the second group stage, while the bottom four teams were eliminated.

The second group stage began on March 1, 2024, and will end on March 7, 2024. The eight remaining teams are placed in a single group, and will play another single round-robin format with best-of-three matches. The top two teams will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the third and fourth place teams will advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs. The remaining four teams will be eliminated.

The Teams

The eight teams that qualified for the second group stage are:

  • HEROIC: The European powerhouse, led by the legendary captain KuroKy, who won the previous major, DreamLeague Season 21, and are currently ranked first in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of Miracle-, w33, Mind_Control, GH, and KuroKy.
  • OG: The two-time TI champions, who are back to their original roster after a brief hiatus. They finished second in DreamLeague Season 21, and are currently ranked second in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of ana, Topson, Ceb, JerAx, and N0tail.
  • Virtus.pro: The dominant force in the CIS region, who have won all the regional leagues so far, and are currently ranked third in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of No[o]ne, RAMZES666, 9pasha, Solo, and RodjER.
  • Alliance: The Swedish veterans, who have been consistent performers in the European scene, and are currently ranked fourth in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of Loda, Limmp, s4, Handsken, and Fng.
  • G2 Esports.invictus Gaming: The Chinese-EU hybrid team, who have surprised everyone with their impressive performance in the first group stage, where they topped their group with a 6-1 record. They are currently ranked fifth in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of BurNIng, Arteezy, Faith_bian, fy, and Kaka.
  • Gambit Gaming: The rising stars in the CIS region, who have shown great potential and resilience in the first group stage, where they finished second in their group with a 5-2 record. They are currently ranked sixth in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of Daxak, gpk, AfterLife, Immersion, and fng.
  • Xtreme Gaming: The South American sensation, who have proven that they can compete with the best teams in the world, and are currently ranked seventh in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of hFn, 4dr, Tavo, Kingrd, and Misery.
  • Sparking Arrow Gaming: The dark horse in the Chinese region, who have qualified for the second group stage as the fourth seed from their group, with a 3-4 record. They are currently ranked eighth in the DPC standings. Their roster consists of God-King, Dstones, Flyby, RedPanda, and Super.

All matches will start at 03:00 PST and will be streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook.

The Results

The results of the second group stage will be updated daily on the official website of the tournament, DreamLeague, as well as on the [Liquipedia] page. You can also follow the live scores, standings, and statistics on the [Rivalry] website.

The Playoffs

The playoffs will take place from March 8 to March 10, 2024, and will feature a double-elimination format with best-of-three matches, except for the grand finals, which will be a best-of-five match. The winner of the tournament will receive $350,000 USD and 1,000 DPC points, while the runner-up will receive $170,000 USD and 600 DPC points. The third and fourth place teams will receive $110,000 USD and 400 DPC points each, while the fifth and sixth place teams will receive $80,000 USD and 300 DPC points each.

Other Important Information

  • The tournament is part of the ESL Pro Tour, a circuit of tournaments that lead up to the The International 2024, the biggest and most prestigious event in Dota 2.
  • The tournament is also part of the Dota Pro Circuit, a system that determines the direct invites for The International 2024. The top 12 teams in the DPC standings at the end of the season will qualify for The International 2024, while the remaining teams will have to go through regional qualifiers.
  • The tournament is using the latest patch of Dota 2, version 7.35c, which introduced some balance changes and bug fixes to the game.
  • The tournament is using a custom map, DreamLeague Season 22, which features some cosmetic changes and sponsor logos on the map.
