GHAZIABAD, July 25, 2024 – The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Ghaziabad announced that Health ATMs will now be installed in open areas to offer 24-hour testing facilities. This move aims to maximize the use of these machines and ensure continuous health services for the residents.

Health ATMs Moved Outdoors for Accessibility

The Health ATMs were previously inside closed rooms, limiting their use. Moving these machines outdoors will make them more accessible and allow them to perform a variety of tests beyond basic ones like blood pressure and diabetes checks.

New Locations for Health ATMs 

The Health ATMs will be placed at Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Loni, Muradnagar, Dasna, Bhojpur, and Modinagar. They will be moved from the blood bank of the district MMG hospital to the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) wing.

CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan said, “Placing Health ATM machines in open areas will ensure they are used properly and provide continuous health services. They will now perform up to 59 different health tests, improving healthcare quality.”

24/7 ATMs Access

The new locations, such as hospital labor rooms open 24/7, will boost the use of Health ATMs. This move should serve at least 100 patients daily, with additional strips and resources ordered to meet demand.

Health ATM Services expanded

Health ATMs will now offer tests for:
  • Blood pressure
  • Weight and height
  • Body temperature
  • Oxygen level
  • Body mass index (BMI)
  • Dehydration
  • Pulse rate

In the future, they will also test for dengue, malaria, chikungunya, typhoid, pregnancy, HIV, and ECGs.

This order has been welcomed by healthcare workers. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, CMS of District MMG Hospital, said, “This change will greatly improve our ability to provide timely health diagnostics. With extra strips, we are ready to handle more patients.”

Moving Ghaziabad Health ATMs to outdoor locations and ensuring they operate 24/7 will significantly enhance healthcare access and efficiency. This change maximizes existing resources and ensures comprehensive health services are always available.
