Dec 24, 2024, 13:15 IST: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) hosted a significant Student Induction and Felicitation Programme, where twelve outstanding students were honored for their remarkable achievements, with special recognition given to two graduates who successfully joined the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).
The event was presided over by JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof Mazhar Asif as the chief guest, alongside distinguished guests including Dr. Madhukar Maru Waware, Joint Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC), and Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, JMI Registrar.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Asif encouraged students to pursue new academic horizons while maintaining a balance between scholarly excellence and moral values. “Academic achievement must go hand in hand with the ethos of humanity and morality,” Prof. Asif emphasized, urging students to focus on research that could potentially be included in UGC-CARE listed journals.
