The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the allocation result of Round 1 on June 20, 2024. Students can look over the allotment result and download it from the official website of JoSAA josaa.nic.in.
After the announcement of the Round 1 allotment, the students who have been assigned a seat can report online up to June 25 till 5 pm for admissions. The students need to upload the documents required and make the fee payment of the counseling fee.
At the time of receiving the seat online, a student has to opt for anyone from- the freeze, float, or slide options for the academic plan of action for further rounds.
When students have been allocated a seat according to their first preference, they will not be provided with options other than freeze. In such a scenario, the student may either accept and freeze the seat or reject the offered seat. If the student does not choose the seat’s freeze option, the seat will be rejected automatically and the student will not be valid for further rounds (if any).
Three more rounds are there for allocation. Seat allotment results for round 2 will be released on June 27, while rounds 3, 4, and 5 will be notified on July 4, 10, and 17 respectively.
According to the rules of JoSAA seat allotment, during a particular round of seat allocation, if there are any changes in the information provided due to failure to produce a valid certificate of category or state code of eligibility or declaration of gender and the allotted seat gets rejected, then the student will be in consideration for further rounds (if any) as per the new information. In such circumstances, the students must report online to accept the new allocated seat (if any).
