NEW DELHI, July 25, 2024 – Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (KMBL) and NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore have started the fifth Women Startup Programme. This initiative, part of KMBL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aims to support female entrepreneurs across India. The programme will distribute Rs 3 crore among the best-performing ventures to help them grow their businesses.

Women Startup Programme: Empowerment, Funding, and Structure

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: This programme has already helped over 23,053 women from 24 states in sectors like technology, social impact, agriculture, retail, healthcare, energy, textiles, and more.

Funding Details: Rs 3 crore will be given to the top ventures in the programme.

Programme Stages: The programme includes a foundation course, pre-incubation, and incubation stages to help women entrepreneurs develop their ideas.

Women Startup Programme: Learning Journey

Educational Phases: The programme begins with a 5-week Foundation of Entrepreneurship (FOE) course. After this, there is a 2-month virtual pre-incubation phase for prototype development. Successful candidates will then join a 5-month incubation phase at NSRCEL to further develop their businesses.

Guidance: Participants will receive help with business planning, marketing, finance, and operations. Mentors, including experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, will provide guidance.

Women Startup Programme: Networking Opportunities

The programme focuses on networking, offering participants the chance to connect with other women entrepreneurs and industry leaders. They will have access to IIMB faculty, startup kits, and legal advice on trademarks, patents, and intellectual property.

Participants will receive mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, helping them navigate the business world.
