Last Day To Register For KVS Class 1 Admissions As Deadline Ends Today

Parents must complete online applications by 10 PM tonight; draw of lots rescheduled to March 28

NEW DELHI, MARCH 24, 2025: Parents seeking admission for their children in Class 1 at Kendriya Vidyalaya schools have until 10 PM today to submit their applications for the academic year 2025-26. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) had previously extended the deadline from March 21 to give parents additional time to complete the registration process through the official portal at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.

The admission timeline has seen some adjustments, with the draw of lots for Balvatika-1 and Balvatika-3 now scheduled for March 28, pushed back from the earlier date of March 26. Applications for all Balvatika levels (1, 2, and 3) will also close tonight at 10 PM.

KVS officials emphasize that applications will only be considered complete once parents receive an application submission code from the online portal. Without this confirmation code, the application data will not be visible in the system and will not be processed for admission consideration.

Parents applying for their children’s admission must prepare several essential documents before starting the online application process. These include:

  • A valid Indian mobile number and email address for communication
  • A digital photograph of the child (JPEG format, maximum 256KB)
  • Scanned copies of the child’s birth certificate, proof of address, and caste certificate (in JPEG or PDF format)
  • Government certificates for those applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category
  • Transfer details of the parent or grandparent whose service credentials will be used in the application

The KVS online application form is structured into five main sections:

  • Basic Information
  • Parents’ Details
  • Choice of Schools
  • Upload Documents
  • Declaration and Submission

For parents applying under the Single Girl Child category, the process remains the same as other categories. They need to complete the standard online application and upload all required documents through the portal, without any need to contact school principals directly.

With the deadline approaching rapidly, KVS advises parents to complete their applications well before the 10 PM cutoff to avoid any last-minute technical issues that might prevent successful submission.
