June 21, 2024 | Delhi, India: The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) is transforming forensic education in India with a 2,254 crore rupee expansion plan unveiled by the Union government. This funding is intended to address the increasing need for forensic science experts. NFSU, which has campuses in Delhi, Goa, and Gujarat, has begun accepting applications for its 2024-25 academic year starting in February, providing specialized courses.
India’s criminal justice system increasingly relies on forensic evidence. Dr. Amit Kumar, Director of Admissions at NFSU, said, “This investment will allow us to train more skilled forensic experts, directly impacting the efficiency of our law enforcement agencies.“
