June 25 | Delhi: Registration for OTET 2024 Begins, The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, has started the registration process for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2024. Candidates can apply until July 5th by visiting the official website, bseodisha.ac.in.

Application Fee Details

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST): Rs 900 for both papers, Rs 600 for one paper.
  • Other Candidates: Rs 1,400 for both papers, Rs 900 for one paper.

Exam Structure

The OTET 2024 will consist of two papers, each lasting 2.5 hours. Both papers will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with one mark per question and no negative marking.

Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2024

Category A:

  • Two-year DElEd: Completion of higher secondary education with at least 50%.
  • Four-year BElEd: Completion of higher secondary education with at least 50%.
  • Two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education): Completion of higher secondary education with at least 50%.
  • BEd: Graduation with at least 50%.

Category B:

  • Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education: Post-graduation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 50%: One-year BEd program.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 45%: One-year BEd program as per NCTE Regulations.
  • Four-year BElEd: Completion of higher secondary education with at least 50%.
  • Four-year BA-BScEd or BAEd-BScEd: Completion of higher secondary education with at least 50%.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 50%: One-year BEd (Special Education).

Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • General Category: 60%
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/SEBC/OBC): 50%
