How to catch Poipole in Pokémon Go
Unlike other Ultra Beasts that appear in five-star raids, Poipole is not available in the wild or in eggs. The only way to get Poipole in Pokémon Go is by completing the World of Wonders Special Research, which is free for all players. This special research is available from March 1 to June 1, 2024, and consists of five pages of tasks and rewards.
To get Poipole in Pokémon Go, you need to complete the first page of the World of Wonders Special Research, which has the following tasks:
- Catch 20 Pokémon (reward: 10 Poké Balls)
- Spin 10 PokéStops (reward: 7 Pinap Berries)
- Transfer 10 Pokémon (reward: 7 Razz Berries)
Once you finish these three tasks, you will get 803 XP and an encounter with Poipole. You can catch Poipole with any Poké Ball, as it will not flee from the encounter. You can also use berries to increase your chances of catching it.
How to evolve Poipole in Pokémon Go
Poipole can evolve into Naganadel, a poison and dragon-type Ultra Beast, with a high level of friendship. To increase your friendship with Poipole, you need to do the following things:
- Walk with Poipole as your buddy (reward: 3 hearts per day)
- Feed Poipole berries (reward: 1 heart per berry, up to 3 per day)
- Play with Poipole (reward: 1 heart per day)
- Take a snapshot of Poipole (reward: 1 heart per day)
- Battle with Poipole (reward: 1 heart per day)
- Visit a new place with Poipole (reward: 1 heart per day)
You need to reach 70 hearts with Poipole to evolve it into Naganadel. You can check your progress by tapping on the buddy icon on the map screen and then on the heart icon on the top left corner of the buddy screen. You will see a progress bar that shows how many hearts you have earned with Poipole and how many more you need to evolve it.
Can Poipole be shiny in Pokémon Go?
Poipole cannot be shiny in Pokémon Go at the moment. Shiny Poipole has a lighter purple color and a yellow horn. However, Niantic may release shiny Poipole in the future, as they have done with other Ultra Beasts. For now, you can only get the regular Poipole in Pokémon Go.
