New Delhi | Updated: July 12, 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the submission window for the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services Examination Main (UPSC CSE Mains 2024) today. Candidates who cleared the preliminary examination must submit DAF-I through upsconline.nic.in to be eligible for the Mains exam scheduled for September 20, 2024.

The UPSC CSE is one of India’s most prestigious exams, selecting candidates for various civil services positions. The preliminary exam was held on June 16, 2024, with results declared on July 1, 2024. Submission of DAF-I is mandatory for those proceeding to the Mains.

UPSC CSE Mains 2024 Key dates:

  • Prelims Exam: June 16, 2024
  • Prelims Results: July 1, 2024
  • DAF-I Submission Deadline: July 12, 2024 (Today)
  • Mains Exam: September 20, 2024

This year, UPSC is going to fill a total of 1,056 vacancies including 40 for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Eligible candidates must be between the age of 21 and 32 years as on August 1, 2024 (those born after August are not eligible)

The submission of the DAF-I form is compulsory for candidates to appear in Mains exam. Non-submission or late submission will lead to a cancellation of your candidature.
