GREATER NOIDA, July 18, 2024 — The Yogi Adityanath government has announced an ambitious plan to host international roadshows to attract investment for the Yamuna Medical Device Park, aiming to spend Rs 439 crore on the project. These efforts are part of Uttar Pradesh’s strategy to become a one trillion dollar economy, focusing on rapid industrial development.

The Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has initiated the formation of a Project Management Unit (PMU) to oversee the project. This unit will play a crucial role in promoting investment, managing approvals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The process to establish the PMU is expected to conclude by early August.

  • Investment Focus: The project aims to attract significant investment by showcasing the park’s strategic location near Noida Airport and its connectivity to the Yamuna Expressway. The park will be developed in two phases across 350 acres, with an estimated cost of Rs 439.49 crore.
  • Cost Breakdown: The expenditure includes Rs 239.91 crore for land development, Rs 190.18 crore for infrastructure, Rs 5 crore for project management and consultancy, and additional expenses.

Yogi Adityanath’s Vision:

“Our goal is to make Uttar Pradesh an industrial powerhouse. The Yamuna Medical Device Park is a step towards achieving this vision, attracting global investments and creating jobs,” said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“The establishment of a dedicated PMU will streamline the investment process and ensure the project meets international standards,” stated a YEIDA official.

The Yamuna Medical Device Park, strategically located in Sector 28 of YIDA Phase-1, aims to leverage its proximity to Noida Airport to become a major industrial hub. The park’s development aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s broader economic goals and is expected to boost the local economy significantly.

This initiative is anticipated to transform Greater Noida into a medical device manufacturing hub, fostering innovation and growth in the sector. The project’s success could serve as a model for similar developments across India, driving industrial growth and economic diversification.

With Yogi Adityanath’s strategic push and a well-structured action plan, the Yamuna Medical Device Park is poised to attract substantial investment and establish Uttar Pradesh as a leading player in the medical device industry.
